Caribbean Crunch


Ingredients:
  • 1/2  teaspoon  soda
  • 3  cup  sugar
  • 1  cup  corn syrup
  • 1/2  cup  Extra Hot Trinidad Sauce
  • 3  cup  pecans
  • 2  teaspoon  butter
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup and pecans with Extra Hot Trinidad Sauce. Cook over medium heat to the hard crack stage. Stir occasionally while cooking to prevent sticking.
Remove from heat. Add butterand soda. Pour onto a buttered tray. Let it spread itself. Cool and break in pieces. Other nuts can be used to substitute but never substitute the Trinidad sauce. Pieces may be dipped into chocolate. Crumbs are even great on ice cream.
