Matouk's West Indian Flambeau Sauce Hot Sauce, from down in Trinidad and Tobago, comes this scorching puree of blazing peppers. The hottest sauce we've found without capsaicin extract added. I like hot sauces to have BOTH heat and flavor. To me, Matouk's Flambeau is the best of both worlds. I lived for three years in the Caribbean, and fell in love with it while I was there. It, and sweet (not hot) curry, are the "secret ingredients" in chicken rotis and several other West Indian curry dishes. If you haven't tried it - stop missing out!

I can agree with this review. It's pletny hot without being over the top. This is probably a good medium average for the type of chiliheads that can handle super-hot sauces, but should be considered very hot for everyone else. Probably among the hottest you can get without using extracts or Ghost Peppers.It tasted to me like hotter ketchup, though I dig the thick texture, and that it doesn't smell vinegary.

This is my favorite hot sauce of the 20 or so I have in my fridge. It isn't hyper hot but has plenty of heat for most people and a nice sweet flavor. I am drawn to hot sauces using scotch bonnet peppers as their base. I primarily use it as a breakfast salsa putting it on most everything. I go through 1 bottle per week! However, my favorite use of it is to mix it with a ginger salad dressing and use that as a dipping sauce for grilled tuna. Even the gourmets I've served were impressed.

I'm a true hothead, but I don't want to be tasting metallic off-flavors in a hot sauce. Matouk's makes several sauces ranging from mild to hot, but all are flavorful. Their flambeau is the perfect middle-ground. I use it for everything from spicing up chili to eating alone on a hot dog (which none of my friends can do).

Delicious Hotness

This is a super spicy sauce that I am addicted to. Put it on eggs, pizza, seafood, anything you want to give a jump up in flavor and heat. A drop or two is all it takes so each bottle lasts, and the heat doesn't fade over time so the last of the bottle is still just as good.
