A good balance of heat and richness. I've been using this for over a decade for a rich heat that improves the flavor rather than making every dish into a test of manhood. I buy other sauces, and find them just heat, a little, a lot, but in the end not rich to bring out the neutral flavor in what I cook. I think this is a great go-to spice, it makes stuff taste better, meat, fish, or even vegetarian like refried beans.
